Lash Extensions

How long do they last?

6 weeks.

Do you recommend Classic, Volume or HybridEyelash Extension?

It really depends on your preference. ClassicEyelash Extensiongives you a more natural look, while volumeEyelash Extension gives a glamorous look. And hybrid Eyelash Extension is a combination of Classic with Volume for a fuller look.

Do Eyelash Extension damage my natural lashes?

Eyelash extensions rarely cause your eyelashes to break or thin out. This can largely be avoided if you do NOT pull or tug at your eyes or rub them. The gentler you treat your eyelash extensions, the less likely you are to hurt your lashes.

Eyelash extensions may not be right for you if:

Before considering having eyelash extensions put on, assess whetheryou are a good candidate for the process. Do not proceed if you:

    • Have a history of eye or skin reactions to products such as eye makeup, eye drops, or eye medication
    • Are allergic to latex or to any of the ingredients used in the glue, prep, or removal products
    • Have alopecia areata
    • Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
    • Havetrichotillomania
    • Have irritated or broken skin on your eyelids
Are there any side effects on the skin and eyes?

The glues used to adhere eyelash extensions to your lashes include chemicals and ingredients that may be irritating or harmful. If you have a reaction to a chemical used during the process, you may experience side effects within two to three days.
These side effects include:

    • Burning
    • Itching
    • Pain
    • Bloodshot eyes
    • Rash
    • Redness and inflammation of the eye or eyelid
    • Swelling, which can be severe
What if I get an Allergic Reaction?

You can prevent many issues with cleaning your lashes two times daily with eyelash cleanser. Most of the time, there is no need to remove your extensions.

If your eyes feel mildly irritated after having lash extensions added, there areseveral things you can try at home to relieve the discomfort. These include:

But we recommend seeing a doctor to provide a topical ointment for treat area.

  • Any symptoms that last longer than 24 to 48 hours should be evaluated. If your symptoms are severe, such as extreme swelling, pain, or itching on either your eyelid or eye, see your doctor.
Could I use makeup remover, lotions, eye creams and serums with eyelash extension?

Yes. You could still use them but be careful NOT to touch your lashes.

Here is some extra information about eyelash extension:

Eyelash Extensions are not for everyone. This is a high-maintenance beauty treatment that requires gentle care for the lashes to remain in good condition and be long-lasting.

What isEyelash Extension?

Eyelash extension are individual synthetic eyelashes. They are attached one-by-one to each individual natural eyelash- not to the skin. This service is beauty enhancing and eliminates the need to wear mascara. It is a meticulous service which requires skill and precision of an esthetician or certified lash technician(Stylist). Once the eyelash extensions are applied, they are so natural looking that it is difficult to tell that you have extension on. Size availabilities range from short to long which will be decided and agreed upon with your stylist.

How long will my Simple Beauty Extension last if I follow the proper care instructions?

Insome cases, eyelash extension can last up to 6-8 weeks. However, it is common to get a touch up after about 2-4 weeks. Like all hair, there are 3 phases to the eyelash growth cycle:

  • Anagen– the “active growth phase”. Only 40% of the upper eyelashes are in active growth at any one time. This phase lasts for 30-45 days
  • Catagen– the “transition phase”.  When the eyelash stops growing and the follicle shrinks. This lasts2-3 weeks
  • Telogen– this is the “resting phase” and can last over 100 days before the eyelashes fall out.

There are some lashes in each phase at all time; therefore, some will be lost within a couple of weeks as part of the natural cycle.

Do the eyelash extensions damage my naturaleyelashes?

No. Each last extension is adhered to one single natural lash, which will grow out naturally as your own lash matures. The eyelash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes.

The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes.

What should you do before your eyelash extension appointment?

Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild oil-free cleanser. Do not use oil-based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara. Do not use any makeup on your appointment day. If you are a contact-lens wearer, please remove your contact lenses and bring a lens case to keep them safe. You can put them on them after the session is over. Plan to set aside approximately 2 to 3.5 hours for your appointment.

How much do they cost and what are the services offered?

The costs are listed in the service menu, which is subject to change as new techniques are introduced and experience is gained.

A full set:   For a client with no extensions already on, or transfer clients from another technician. For any reason that you are coming in as a new client with an existing set, we will gladly do your fills. However, all new lash fill clients will be charged for a full set on the first visit, as we do not know how many lashes you have, if there is need for removal, glue type, etc. After that, your fills will be the same price as existing clients. If you are an existing client and coming in for a fill with more than 50% of your lashes are gone you will be charged for full set.

Fills:  A lash fill is done when less than 50% of lashes need to be filled.
